Independent Facilitators
Independent Facilitators are individuals or organizations who assist participants in the Self-Determination Program (SDP) in managing their services and supports. They help by guiding participants through the process of creating a Person-Centered Plan, providing advice on budget management, identifying service providers, and ensuring that the participant’s needs and goals are met.
Independent Facilitators work independently from the regional centers or Financial Management Services (FMS) providers and are typically chosen by the participant to offer objective, personalized support throughout their SDP journey.
